Given AI’s ever-accelerating global adoption, ‘South Africa stands at a pivotal moment in the regulation of ... AI, balancing the promise of technological innovation with the need to address ethical, legal and socio-economic challenges.’
Against that backdrop, we have created a separate website focusing on the worrying implications associated with the objectification of women and ‘girls’ by international AI text-to-image art community platforms. This in the hope that it will be discovered by organisations and public interest groups concerned about the extent to which AI image generation platforms may be fuelling the fires of misogyny and violence against women.
